Graphite pencil.
Canson 'Classic Cream' Drawing paper
approx 18x24"

Sorry, had to cut down the size/resolution for display so you can't see that much detail. Please don't ask me how long it took, that's the first thing I hear when people see it.

I'm proud to say it was purchased and now hangs in Linden Oaks (Edwards) Hospital (Mental Health), Naperville, IL USA

Beautiful image.

Thanks for the nod and fav. I checked out your work too. Looks good. Have you tried working with the whole spectrum of pencils? I didn't learn anything about different pencils and papers in college. My favorite now is 5B. I am a pencil addict. There are SO many different brands and they vary widely in quality/consistency. Same with papers. You might want to try drawing on a surface with more tooth than computer paper. My favorite is Canson 'Classic Cream' Drawing paper. Widely available not expensive. Comes in various sizes (spiral bound pads) and it's 80 lbs so it can take working and re-working, which is my style. I use the eraser and cotton more than the pencil.

How wonderful! Very nicely detailed, I love how haunted yet youthful her face seems to be. Such delecious details, and so un-smudged! I just fell in love with this character after taking a Shakespear course last summer. Nice work on this!
